Earth Day 2021
By 1st, 2nd and 3rd Class
Today is Earth Day. It is a day to remind us that we need to save our environment. We went outside and did some weeding in the school garden. If each child in our class picked up 10 weeds, we would have collected 220!
Before break, we listened to ‘What a Wonderful World’. We listened to a calm version by Louis Armstrong and a rock version by The Ramones. Most of us preferred the rock version. We drew a picture about Earth.
We also wrote a cinquain poem about Earth, we made it into a book for our library. We listened to a story called Here we Are by Oliver Jeffers while Ms Forde showed us the illustrations.
In the afternoon, we enjoyed being outdoors doing PE!
