Autumn is certainly in the air. We spotted lots of signs of autumn on our recent nature walk. Afterwards, we wrote a recount in English & Irish and used the signs of autumn to inspire our Art.
Have a read of our recount below.

Our Autumn Walk
Today, Thursday 06/10/22 all of our class went on a nature walk.
After break, we put on our Hi Viz jackets and walked in a single file, down Cahervoneen.
We were looking for signs of autumn and picking up litter with our Picker Pals.

We picked blackberries along the side of the road to make a scrumptious apple and blackberry crumble.
Also, we picked a bag full of litter from the ditch using litter pickers. Everyone picked a leaf for Art on Friday. Some children chose hazelnut, sycamore and ash leaves. We found some weeds, rose hips, herb Robert and even a snail!

Afterwards, we walked back to school, keeping an eye out for hawthorn trees.
